What We Do

The Resilience Project helps individuals and families overcome barriers that can make it difficult to move forward. Guided by our Christian faith and the belief in the God-given worth of every person, we respond to immediate needs while helping people connect with resources, relationships, and support that can contribute to long-term stability.

Our work is rooted in compassion, dignity, responsible stewardship, and Christ's call to care for those in need.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink — Matthew 25:35

Our Areas of Support

Basic Needs & Crisis Assistance
We help address essential needs that may prevent individuals and families from maintaining stability, including food, clothing, hygiene items, utility needs, and other approved forms of short-term assistance. When another organization is better equipped to help, we work to connect individuals with appropriate community resources.

Mental Health & Recovery
We connect individuals and families with counseling, mental health resources, addiction recovery services, support programs, and other appropriate services. Our goal is to reduce barriers to receiving care and help people identify resources that support healing and recovery.

Housing & Stability
We help individuals and families navigate housing-related challenges through connections to available housing resources, homelessness services, mentoring, temporary assistance when available, and other practical support designed to promote greater stability.

Transportation & Community Support
A lack of transportation can interfere with employment, medical care, treatment, and access to essential services. When resources permit, we help address transportation barriers and connect individuals with community programs and other practical forms of assistance.

Faith in Action

Our Christian faith calls us to see more than a person's circumstances. We believe every individual has inherent, God-given worth and should be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.

We seek to put faith into action through practical service—meeting needs, walking alongside people during difficult seasons, and offering hope without judgment.

Assistance is offered without regard to religious belief or participation. Individuals are not required to share our faith or participate in religious activities to receive assistance.

More Than Meeting an Immediate Need

Sometimes a relatively small barrier can create much larger problems. A missed ride can mean a missed medical appointment. An unexpected utility bill can destabilize a household budget. Lack of access to counseling or recovery resources can leave someone unsure where to turn.

The Resilience Project seeks to look beyond the immediate request and understand the circumstances surrounding it. When possible, we help address the immediate barrier while connecting individuals and families with resources that may support greater stability in the future.

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ— Galatians 6:2

Community Partnerships

Stronger Through Community

We believe God has equipped communities with people, churches, organizations, businesses, and professionals who each have something meaningful to contribute. The Resilience Project seeks to bring those resources together so that individuals and families do not have to navigate difficult seasons alone.

Rather than duplicating services that already exist, we seek to help people access existing resources while identifying and responding to unmet needs in our community.

Growing to Meet Community Needs

The needs of a community change, and The Resilience Project is designed to grow thoughtfully in response. As funding, volunteers, partnerships, and other resources become available, we hope to develop additional programs that address identified gaps in our community.

Future initiatives may include expanded transportation assistance, food outreach, housing-related support, mentoring, mental health and recovery resources, and other programs consistent with our charitable mission.

Put Faith Into Action

Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth— 1 John 3:18
